UPDATE: This wedding and our rental decor was featured over on the Rustic Wedding Chic website! Check out the post here:
Okay, so I'm a little late getting to this blog, since this wedding was way back in September. But, since we just celebrated Christmas and the New Year is coming, I thought it appropriate to post for my friend and her first holiday as a MARRIED woman :)
Carli and Blake's wedding in Thorpe, WA was GORGEOUS! My mom and I were so excited to do her wedding because I've been friends with Carli since freshman year of high school. Side note, she also provided some decor items for my own wedding in September 2014! She is stunningly gorgeous, crazy fun, and one of the most caring people I've ever met! She was bound to find the right guy after college, and when she first talked of Blake (on our way to a soccer game a few years back, she kept saying how too good to be true he must be!) I knew she'd found someone special in him; little did we know she would be his wife this year!
Carli has some supremely talented family members which helped us to create personalized signs and displays to make her wedding truly one-of-a-kind. And, my mom of course, who is also friends with her mom, was determined to make this the best wedding we've done yet! We went and created an awesome arbor out of wood and some vintage glass doors. Didn't it turn out AMAZING!?
We also made an awesome Cigar Bar for Carli's husband, Blake! He is totally into cigars and this was a special way for her to honor him during their reception. We used a couple of our wine barrels, a hand-made live-edge wood table top, and a vintage red barn door for the backdrop. Fresh hops (did we mention that Blake also likes Beer?!) draped the top of the barn door, and we accented with galvanized and copper tins for the cigars, matches, and cutters. This was my favorite part of the wedding!
Also featured is a surprise s'mores bar! Carli talked about this but couldn't quite bring it together in time, so we helped her out last minute and surprised her with this by the campfire! Made of old ladders and live-edge wood slabs, we created a cool campy feel with this setup.
Leave your comments, we'd love to hear what you think of the Pritchett wedding!
CONGRATS CARLI & BLAKE!
